Parkland Medical Center Contributes 1,300 Pounds of Food Items and Gift Cards to the New Hampshire Food Bank
DERRY, NH, Nov. 26, 2007 -- Facing a critical shortage of food to distribute to New Hampshire Food Banks more than 345 agencies across the state, Parkland Medical Center donated 1,300 pounds of food items and $450 of Shaws gift cards to the New Hampshire Food Bank. Committed to making charitable contributions and donations to the community and local organizations, Parkland asked its entire staff to bring in food donations from November 12-21, that were then collected by the NH Food Bank onsite at the hospital.
We are pleased to present the NH Food Bank with hundreds of food items during a difficult time of food shortage across the state and look forward to working with the organization for future donations, said Ryan Lawrence, Marketing and Public Affairs Coordinator at Parkland.
Food items donated by the staff included canned soup, pasta, peanut butter, healthy cereals, canned vegetables, rice, applesauce and tomato soup. To learn more about how you can donate to the NH Food Bank, contact the organization at 603-669-9725.
